Privacy Policy

How we handle your personal data when you visit this site or fill out the contact form, in accordance with Law No. 8968 on the Protection of Individuals Regarding the Processing of Their Personal Data.

Last updated: August 14, 2026.

1. Data controller

The data you share with us through this site is processed by Sativa L Trace. You can contact us at any time with questions about this policy or your personal data by writing to contacto@sativaltrace.com.

2. What data we collect

This site doesn't use tracking cookies or identify you while you browse. The only personal data we collect is what you voluntarily give us when filling out the contact form:

  • Full name
  • Company or operation (optional)
  • Email address
  • Your interest (demo, operator, investment, regulatory inquiry, other)
  • The message you write

Providing this data is entirely voluntary. Without your name, email, and message we can't respond to you, so those are required fields on the form; the rest is optional.

3. What we use it for

We use this data exclusively to respond to your inquiry, coordinate a product demonstration if you requested one, and provide reasonable commercial follow-up related to your contact. We don't use it for any other purpose, and we don't sell it or share it with third parties.

4. How it's stored and for how long

The contact form doesn't store your data in any database on this site: the content is sent directly by email to our contact inbox. From there, we keep that communication for a reasonable time to manage your inquiry and keep a record of our business relationship, and we delete it once it's no longer needed for those purposes.

5. Security

The form validates data on the server before processing it and the site is served exclusively over HTTPS. Access to received emails is limited to the people on our team who need to handle them.

6. Your rights

Under Law 8968, you have the right to:

  • Access: find out what data of yours we have and what we use it for.
  • Rectification: ask us to correct inaccurate or outdated data.
  • Cancellation: ask us to delete your data once it's no longer needed.
  • Objection: object to us using your data for a specific purpose.

To exercise any of these rights, write to us at contacto@sativaltrace.com. We respond within a maximum of five business days. If you feel we haven't properly handled your request, you can also reach out to the Agencia de Protección de Datos de los Habitantes (PRODHAB), the supervisory authority in Costa Rica.

7. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll publish the new version on this same page with the corresponding update date.
